With “Transformers: Dark of the Moon” and “Real Steel” coming out soon, robots are (pun intended) bigger than ever. This list complies the Top 10 worst robots in movie history, and since I find that people don’t actually read the Top 10s, they just glance at them (you know it’s true, skimmers), I’m just including video of these ‘bots in all their tragic glory. So there. Watch ’em and weep.
Watch these videos and laugh your ass off. There’s actually something kind of awesome about these…Here they are: The Top 10 Worst Movie Robots. If you have a Top 10 you’d like to contribute, email me at eric@scene-stealers.com. Wanna see the Top 10 Coolest Movie Robots?

Honestly I like the commentary more than the picks…
“Saturn 3” has me baffled! Stanley Donen directs Kirk Douglas and Harvey Keitel in a script by Martin Amis? How on earth did that end up sucking so badly?
Ro-Man and Torg are my sentimental favorites.
It is pretty crazy with that amount of talent, Abby. From “Singin’ in the Rain” to this for Donen. Yikes! Farrah Fawcett looks like a Buck Rogers-style space hooker in that first shot where she’s introduced, which is pretty awesome.
Will, you are kind to say so. Because the videos are so awesome, I kind of thought they spoke for themselves on this one. Did you check out “The Electric Grandmother”?
I wanted to give Torg a little more screentime, but couldn’t find a video that worked to embed!
If you want some fun, check out the other videos of Box from Logan’s Run. He’s quite the cult character, it seems. There weren’t embed codes for the best ones that features his quote: “Fish, plankton, and sea greens and protein from the sea fresh as harvest day,” WTF?
I like DARRYL(Conrad was a worst kid robot) and Electric Grandmother. The other selections are good from what I skimmed over;) You left out the worst robot ever Elle from StarCrash. You can see him here in this clip.

How about some honorable mentions for all four robots from Andy Kaufman’s Heartbeeps & Joan River’s annoying portrayl of Dot Matrix in Spaceballs.
I have to say that as a kid, Hector from Saturn 3 scared the crap out of me.
Demian- Great find on “StarCrash”–wow, that is some awesomely terrible stuff! (Come on though, you LIKE the Electric Grandmother?)
Sean – Ooooh, “Heratbeeps”–nice! I should have had 2 categories: bad robots in comedies and bad robots in action movies, because there’s too many to mention in each…
Tom- He doesn’t even have a head!
I completely agree with Bicentennial Man, except it should have been higher. SO SO BAD.
I’d love a list of best bots. I’d nominate Jude Law as Gigolo Joe in A.I is incredible. I can’t help it, his puppet movements are amazing.
Nice list. And just so you know, I read ALL commentary on EVERY top 10 list. 🙂
I don’t think you should include robots from comedies, such as Spaceballs or Heartbeeps, as in many cases they are purposely bad and annoying.
CoosCoos- Thanks for reading!
Believe it or not — “Heartbeeps” was not purposely bad — as hard as it is to swallow!!!
Kate- Gigolo Joe is amazing and so was Osment himself. I love A.I. unrepentantly.
Dude, c’mon… people might not order the scrambled eggs because there’s a dash of cilantro, but it still makes it taste better.
I had totally forgotten about Robot Jox until reading this.
The trailer on youtube is quite simply amazing.
