I saw The Music of Chance years and years ago. I hated it. I thought it was pointless, drivel. I dismissed it and forgot about it. Last year I read the book. It's by Paul Aster. It was so beautiful, lovely and lyrical, I didn't remember the movie until the two best friend characters started explaining the wall. I've since moved from a huge space to a tiny one and had to get rid of most of my books. I kept that one. If you read the book, you will understand everything. You will understand the point, the meaning, and you will especially understand that the movie version was a complete abortion. I am a huge film buff and I adore strange movies.
