Glad you dug the list; it was fun to write. I haven't seen M:I in a while, but I just remember that it was too convuluted to make any damn sense (and this is coming from a De Palma fan)!

I'm glad to see Serenity on there. I'm a fairly recent Firefly fan, and I loved the movie. I must say that the first M.I. is by far the best of any of the M.I.s (it has a great story with good action sequences and all without a love interest, thank you De Palma). I can't argue with much else on the list. Keep up the good work!

"Fire" is a bore because its all cheap titillation and dirty shit just cuz Lynch could do it now with the R rating. The series was way better because it has to suggest all this tawdriness without actually showing it, kinda like an old Ernst Lubitsch pic.

I really don't get how people like M.I.3 better than M.I.1 but I will agree it was better than two.
Okay, I'm going to check Fire Walk With Me tonight, but I'm nervous.

After seeing Serenity on your list I absolutely HAD to see what the news on the sequel was and then of course the big debate. Unfortunately I can't get the other two parts to work on my computer so I'm stuck with the image of JD vehemently arguing the validity of Star Trek. Observation not opinion. All of that was before I knew your site existed. Love the list, Love the site, Love you guys!

I love that Mission: Impossible III is in this list. Way better than the confusing first M:I and the absurd (and yet entertaining) second.
Also love The Naked Gun. I didn't even know it was an adaptation of a TV show!!

Perfect list, Eric. I could quibble with the order, but you nailed the top ten. I generally don't dig the TV adaptations ever, but these are all pretty great.

Fire Walk With Me is worth watching - just view it as a wholly different project and you'll feel better about it. But it's also not exactly fantastic.

I love that Naked Gun is in there, too. I even like the third one...

Glad to see Naked Gun on there. Still one of my favorite comedies. I will say, though, that I liked 2 1/2 quite a bit. Third one blows. But each one has a cameo from Weird Al, so that's an automatic plus for all of them right there!
