Back in 2007, J.D. and I were contestants on VH1’s second (and last) season of “World Series of Pop Culture.” We immediately felt a nerdy trivia kinship with all the other competitors, so when castmates Warren McPherson and Smitha Chadaga said they were making a mockumentary about what happens to game show contestants AFTER the game (and their very limited fame) is over, I jumped at the chance to appear as myself in their movie. After making the film festival rounds this year, the co-directors of “Gameshow and Tell” have decided to release the movie in episodes on YouTube each week. Subscribe here to keep updated.
Anyway, here is the first episode, featuring the runners-up on the show, team Wocka Wocka from Kansas City, MO. This episode is a funny exaggeration of the obsessive drive that gave Wocka Wocka the winning edge! Not sure when they’ll release Westerburg High’s episode, but this is the place to find out. Enjoy!

To celebrate the release of “Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince” in theaters, Warner Bros. Pictures and Scene-Stealers.com offer you the chance to win tickets to an advance screening of the movie. We have 25 admit-two passes to give away for the advance screening of “Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince” on Monday, July 13 at the AMC Olathe Studio 30 (119th & I-35) at 6:00pm.
All you need to do is answer five trivia questions correctly (which should be easy for any serious Harry Potter fans), and we’ll have a random drawing of the entrants with the correct answers on Friday, July 10 to determine the 25 lucky winners. The winners will get an email on that day with instructions on how they can print out their passes to the screening.
Special midnight shows Tuesday, July 14. Regular engagement starts Wednesday, July 15. Check out www.harrypotter.com for more details on the movie!
If you’ve won, you will receive an email on Friday, July 10 with instructions on how to print off your ‘admit-two’ pass online. Please bring it to the screening, and remember to get there early. These screenings are overbooked to ensure a full house.

Jason Sudeikis (”30 Rock,” “Saturday Night Live”) is so good as the rock-band manager in the new movie “The Rocker” that he pretty much steals the show. Being rockers ourselves, we wanted to do something a little different than the normal junket interview. Sudeikis was in town promoting “The Rocker” (starring Rainn Wilson), so we ambushed the comedy star with a homegrown rock n’ roll quiz to see how much of his portrayal was a result of Method acting. As it turns out, this didn’t quite go exactly as planned. This is probably the last time we try to quiz a movie star. Yikes! Maybe we should just stick to the regular junket questions. Anyway, enjoy this very uncomfortable interview with Jason Sudeikis from a dirty hotel room somewhere in Kansas City.
