‘Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania’ lacks the heart and soul that made us fall in love with Ant-Man and just isn’t the storytelling boost the MCU needed right now after some misfires from some of its big guns over the past year or so.

Coming after the recent Avengers: Infinity War, where the fate of literally half of the entire universe was at stake, the micro stakes (literally and figuratively) of this film are refreshing.

Rudd is his usual likable self, and he’s perfect for a role that requires a lot of exasperation. He’s an everyman that’s easy to root for from the get-go, and his droll sense of humor allows him to comment on the stranger goings-on with the appropriate amount of “WTF?”

Prince Avalanche brings together immense talent in all departments, and it is a strong step in the right direction for David Gordon Green. It is a terrific film that will ultimately be seen by very few people, but is well worth your time.
