Eric, they did the rude, vulgar thing with Very Bad Things…not as successfully and way more dark, but they’ve done it. I’m just sayin…

that was a terrible movie, but you’re right. I guess more specifically: I’m surprised no one mined this kind of thing for big R-rated laughs before now. Just goes to show how easy to sell a high concept movie is!

Just saw this with my dad for Father’s Day…. (I’m 35, he’s 65.) We both enjoyed it, for what it was! Crude, and a bit predictable, but winning performances and not a dumb script. Not sure why it’s such a huge hit exactly, but I guess we all need a laugh more than ever?! See me review it with my Dad on YouTube: “Gab and Dad”

I wanted this movie to be good but in all honesty it wasn’t really very funny. It was mostly MEH! the only time I actually laughred was during the credits when they were showing the photo’s of the night before. The rest of the movie was predictable and boring.

Umm let’s see where do i start…ok are you two just a couple of guys who WISH they could make actual movies and not have just rip on this great funny movie…not a fan of Todd Philips? really? and who else besides him or apatow should have done this movie?….or are wishing for a Landis or Ramis because you are still living in the 70’s. As much hype as I heard about this movie before seeing it, it blew me away how funny and well written it was. This movie is an instant classic…animal house, stripes, caddyshack, wedding crashers….I love when you say the movie was “choppy”…its a movie in reverse about partying in vegas, not a scorsese film. Runs out of steam? The entire movie was a “build-up” to the photos on the credits….you kept thinking oh they will show a flashback here or here but no they saved it for the very end. “There are some interesting moments” jesus guys its a guy party vegas movie that is extremely funny and the script of the reverse tale original!!! Grab a beer, call a girl (you know what girls are right guys?) and kick back and watch it again! Don’t do a shot of jagermeister before you see it this time.
