“Die Hard in a subway”- this is excatly what i told my dad when he asked me about seeing it.
i had low expections going in to see it, i was shocked when i walked out of the theater to find that i actually enjoyed it. it wasn't great, but it was better than i expected, i agree a minor rock fist up.

Everyone involved in this movie has done more commendable work elsewhere.

For an "action" flick, the action was confined to two sets for the bulk of the film, and consisted mostly of Travolta swearing at Washington and shooting people.

At one point where it's beginning to drag, a Yellow cab flips in the air, but no actor with a speaking part was involved. I guess the director thought the film needed some eye candy at that point.

The ending was more suitable for a television episode of Criminal Minds than a blockbuster movie.

Overall, the film was watchable due to quality actors like Gandolfini, Turturro, etc., but nothing special in terms of plot or pacing.

*Rock Fist Down*
My only complaint about this movie is that I've seen it before. It used to be called Die Hard I-V, and it's gone by many other names. With Travolta as the badguy, I was expecting the over-the-topic effects, twists, and style of Swordfish. In the end it, it really performed on a much smaller scope than any of those movies. It was entertaining, but I feel like everyone involved could (and should) have done way better.

This is one of those movies that you forget about a few minutes after you leave the theater.
