Are you serious??? Oh my goodness! Just finished watching Rush Hour 3 and I am a die hard fan of the previous two… which I thought were outrageously funny! Rush Hour 3 was horrible…nothing short of a disaster. I do not know who wrote the screen play for this tragedy, but they should be ashamed!!! Are you kidding me…it lacked the wonderful humor of the first two…and added many, many …oh , did I say “many” scenes with sexual overtures (O.K. yes I realize it was set in Paris) but come on! Jackie and Chris must be terribly embarrassed about this one, even if it paid well…Scenarios that were never resolved during the movie, super corny lines... I was talking thru the whole thing...not laughing. It was unbelievable ... not worthy of these two awesome actors.

If I were rating movies using this scale, I would assign the Swiss Fist to films I didn't mind seeing just once, but wouldn't care to ever see again. As such, I totally agree that it applies in this case.

Although it wasn't a particularly good movie, it would have been a great deal worse in the hands of a less talented director.

The Swiss Fist is a new rating created by JD that absolutely applies to this film. It was mediocre in every way, but it didn't suck. ratner kept to the formula, and when something wasn't too terribly funny, he moved on quickly to something that was. Didn't see "Hot Rod," though, so I cannot compare the two.

This is, by far, the worst film in the Rush Hour franchise. Chris Tucker has become more annoying to watch (and hear) than ever. Chan no longer has the physical skills he brought to the earlier efforts. Sure, Ratner does a good job with flow, etc., even if the plot is colossally stupid.

I saw _Rush Hour 3_ and _Hot Rod_ on the same day, and _Hot Rod_ was the more entertaining of the two.

What were you smokin' giving this thing a minor rock fist up? Yeah it's got some laughs, but more at how ridiculous everything is or laughs at the cost of the performers, writers and director than anything than was acutally meant to be funny. It's not a complete disaster sure, but it's more a mediocre miss than a passable hit to me.
