The characters are just ridiculous caricatures with no real feeling or emotion, but they have wands this time, and they wave their arms furiously and lightning crackles (oh it crackles). I did like the movie on the whole, and appreciated the ridiculous spectacle of CGI budgets spiralling wildly out of control. I saw the ending in 3D and it was pretty amazing, except for the right half of the screen was not really 3D and not that amazing.
