New sci-fi epic is a ray of “Sunshine”
Tired of westerns in space? Director Danny Boyle (”Trainspotting,” “28 Days Later”) grapples with provocative questions of morality and spirituality in ”Sunshine,” a sci-fi headscratcher starring Cillian Murphy as a scientist flying a nuclear bomb into the sun on a spaceship called the Icarus II.
