Here are my interviews with the director and three cast members of the new 2013 Evil Dead remake, which hits theaters today. Evil Dead was co-produced by Sam Raimi and Bruce Campbell, who created the original cult classic trilogy. These video interviews were originally broadcast on KCTV5 It’s Your Morning.

The first interview is with director Fede Alvarez and star Jane Levy, where we discuss the challenges of making an Evil Dead movie seem fresh after the premise has been so played out and even parodied in Joss Whedon and Drew Goddard’s Cabin in the Woods.

Scroll down past the blank space for the second interview. This is with Evil Dead stars Shiloh Fernandez and Jessica Lucas and covers topics like living up to the Evil Dead legacy and the challenges of staying in character with all the crazy amount of makeup and special effects that were used in the remake.
