2 parts? Oh, yes please!
I first read watchmen around 5 years ago and have re-read it many times since, thus my major concern over the movie is that it will cut corners.
The graphic novel was very tight. Everything blended, everything had its place. There wasnt any dead wood. Trying to whittle it down to a test audience friendly movie isnt possible without removing a lot of what made it great. Splitting it in 2 not only circumvents this problem, but gives us the concluding watchmen chapter to look forward to in the future.I mean, we all know of the books popularity and influence. Theres an audience ready and willing to sit through 2 installments then buy the box set dvd. I hope the studios realize this

The separate DVD is a great idea & any Watchmen fan will snap it up. I love Snyder's enthusiasm for the movie he has just wrapped but I don't envy the editing task ahead. The film should be long but not in 2 parts. Let's face it Kill Bill 2 sucked --particularly in contrast to the excellent KB1.
300 was great and came out of nowhere for me. So expectations for Watchmen are sky high. Everything I've seen from the movie have fed the anticipation.
How many hours to go b4 The Dark Knight hits?
Cheers.
