Tarantino's "Inglorious Basterds" trailer w/ Brad Pitt

Well, here’s the teaser for Quentin Tarantino’s long-awaited WWII revenge flick “Inglorious Basterds.” I ususally try not to watch trailers (because I hate seeing too much of the film), but this is a smaller, quicker trailer than most …

… and it’s somehow completely not what I was expecting.

Even knowing QT’s propensity for childish humor and violence, I wasn’t prepared for Brad Pitt’s Southern accent, a gag-like Hitler, a swastika cut into someone’s forehead, or B.J. Novak from “The Office” and Sam Levine from “Freaks and Geeks” as Nazi-killing soldiers.

In the 1970s, these kind of exploitation flicks were more accepted. It will be interesting to see the kind of public lashing he’ll get for turning the Holocaust into a playground for trashy revenge.

I don’t think this movie has anything to do with the Holocaust.
