Sarah Palin is David Brent of BBC's "The Office"

If you’re a fan of the original BBC version of “The Office,” with Ricky Gervais (whose better-than-average romcom “Ghost Town” was unfortunately ignored by moviegoers last month), then you’ll get this comparison with Vice Presidential candidate Sarah Palin right away. If you’re not, maybe it will be the impetus for going out and renting the superb British TV series (and pioneer of uncomfortable humor) “The Office.” I think Palin would fit right in on the American version of the show, no problem.
